There is no evidence that BPH is prevented, caused or aggravated by sexual habits.
BPH is not known to cause any sexual function impairment. There has been confusion because the incidence of sexual dysfunction increases with age, and is therefore often present when BPH has developed. The only link between the disorders is the age factor, and BPH does not induce sexual dysfunction and vice versa. A prostatectomy (partial or complete removal of the prostate) will preclude ejaculation. The sooner you see a doctor, the earlier you will be treated. |
